Markham Prenatal and Newborn Educators (MPNE) is committed to respecting your privacy. Accordingly all personal information is maintained in the strictest of confidence and secured using appropriate safeguards. Our privacy policy applies to all individuals who are or may become clients of MPNE and to all individuals or organizations with whom MPNE works.  

Collection and Use of Information

Personal information is defined as data that can be used to identify an individual.  This may include but is not restricted to your name, address, telephone number and financial information including credit card numbers that you supply. MPNE will collect information solely as required for the safe medical and business practices involved in teaching its classes and workshops, establishing and maintaining communications with you, complying with the law and notifying you of certain products or services offered by us.

Safety and Security Measures

MPNE has developed, implemented and reviewed its security procedures to ensure that its clients’ information is protected against loss, theft, unauthorized access or disclosure.  These procedures include physical measures such as locked cabinets, technological tools such as computer passwords and firewalls and internal organizational controls such as restricted access, procedural requirements and trained staff to be respectful and to comply with this policy.

Sharing Information

MPNE treats all information with respect and will not disclose or sell your personal information.  We share information only if required to do so by federal or provincial government regulations and by other law. MPNE may share your personal information with MPNE owners/staff and appointed accounting, legal and tax advisors as a matter of regular business practice.

We retain information only for the timeframe required for the purposes of conducting business. When that need has ended, your personal information will be removed from our system and destroyed in a manner that ensures your security.

Legislation requires all companies to share their privacy policies with all clients. Please note that in keeping with this legislation, if we do not hear otherwise, we can conclude that you have given us your consent.
